If you spend more time searching for files than working on them, Super Text Search is a clever investment. This superb tool will search almost any kind of file for text, including HTML, word processing files, spreadsheets, databases, source code, batch files, and even executables. You can search your own system, or your network, or a single folder. Your searches can also include searching inside zipped archives without opening them. Searches can be as simple or as complex as you wish. You can search for words, phrases, use wildcards, and use different kinds of pattern matching. The most powerful feature is the program's ability to use regular expressions, as on Unix systems, and a description of these is given in the Help file. After you've run a search, and the program presents you with a list of files, you can click on a file to view it, or optionally open it with its associated program.
